What manufacturer data does TowLoadCheck use?
TowLoadCheck references official NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) and manufacturer specifications for towing capacity, payload capacity, and hitch ratings. Our app pulls from publicly available vehicle specifications to ensure accuracy.
How do I input my vehicle information?
Simply enter your vehicle's year, make, and model in the app. TowLoadCheck will automatically populate your vehicle's towing capacity, payload capacity, and other relevant specifications. You can also manually enter this information if needed.
Can I use TowLoadCheck for different vehicles?
Yes. You can save multiple vehicle profiles in TowLoadCheck, making it easy to check load limits for any vehicle you tow with. Switch between profiles anytime to verify different combinations.
What if my combination exceeds safe limits?
TowLoadCheck will clearly indicate when your tow vehicle, trailer, and payload combination exceeds manufacturer limits. If your combination is unsafe, the app advises you not to tow until adjustments are made.
Is TowLoadCheck available on Android?
TowLoadCheck is currently available for iOS. Android support is on our roadmap. Check back soon for updates.
Does TowLoadCheck work offline?
Yes. Once you've entered your vehicle information, TowLoadCheck calculates load limits offline. Internet connection is not required for normal operation.
